USA Swimming and Speedo Continue Partnership Through 2024

by USA Swimming
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming announced on Thursday that its partnership with Speedo is extended through Dec. 31, 2024, to support and inspire the next generation of swimmers.
A proud partner of USA Swimming since 1985, Speedo’s continued commitment to premier competition is highlighted by naming rights and event support for Sectionals, Junior National Championships and Winter Junior National Championships – some of the biggest competitive opportunities for exceptional young athletes. Further, Speedo invests in growth at the grassroots level of the sport with product and program support for learn-to-swim programs connected to USA Swimming and the USA Swimming Foundation.
“Speedo continues to be an extremely valued partner to us,” USA Swimming President and CEO Tim Hinchey III said. “Their commitment to athletes and coaches from grassroots through elite competition helps to propel our sport forward. And their continued focus on providing better access to water for more children in underserved communities is a value we proudly share. For over 35 years we have stood next to Speedo, and we are excited to foster this important collaboration through 2024.”
Through March, thousands of young athletes are competing in the spring short course Speedo Sectionals, where best times and emerging stars converge on thirteen venues throughout the United States. Then the long course season peaks with the summer portion of the Speedo Sectionals with four locations in July.
The nation’s brightest under 18 swimmers will finish their summer season at the Speedo Junior National Championships from July 31-August 4 in Irvine, California. The calendar year of Speedo event support concludes with the Speedo Winter Junior National Championships taking place December 6-9 simultaneously in Westmont, Illinois and Columbus, Ohio.
“We are thrilled to continue our 38-year partnership with USA Swimming,” added Matt Rock, President, Speedo North America. “Our shared values of safety and access to water for all are perfectly aligned. The extension of this partnership amplifies all our efforts, ensuring a safe environment for athletes, coaches, and those just learning to swim, so we can support the next generation of swimmers.”
Speedo holds certain exclusivity for the technical swim wear product category and will utilize merchandise vending and activation rights within the Toyota AquaZone at the U.S. Olympic Trials – Swimming in Indianapolis in June 2024.
