What are the Coaching Network Webinar courses?
The 10 & Under and Senior Group Coaching Network webinars draw on the experience of experts in their field, providing unique learning opportunities for coaches who work with specific age groups. This quarter, we added a new pop-up clinic format, which allowed members to submit drills on a topic, watch live virtual demonstrations, and comment in real-time. All speaker presentation webinars, the Let’s Dive In series, and pop-up clinics are recorded live throughout the year. Registration for all available live webinars is available on the Coaches Community website.
What are the new courses and topics?
Here is a list of newly added webinars:
10 & Under Network:
- Managing Coaching Challenges: Jon Mann, the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning, led a discussion on managing the short attention spans of young athletes and on how to teach and positively engage young athletes.
- Pop-Up Clinic: Backstroke Drills: In this first 10 & Under Coaching Network Pop-Up Clinic, Abbie Fish of Swim Like A. Fish conducted a backstroke clinic with 10 & Under swimmers. Coaches submitted drills ahead of time for the swimmers to try and comment on them in real-time.
Senior Group Network:
- The Club and High School Coach Relationship: Karin Olmstead, USA Swimming Director of Member Success and Head High School Coach at Cherry Creek High School, Scott Erdman, Head Coach for Hinsdale Swim Club, and Mike Stott, retired Head Coach at Collegiate School, discussed how they worked together as high school and club coaches to help their athletes reach their goals and enjoy swimming during their high school years.
