2024-25 Scholastic All-America Program Application Deadline Extended

The application window for the 2024-25 Scholastic All-America (SAA) program is June 1-September 30, 2025, and step-by-step directions are available here. Based on member feedback and to accommodate athletes uploading their academic year transcripts, the application deadline was extended to the end of September.
Applicants must have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, hold a 3.5 GPA for the current academic year and meet the below criteria for pool swimmers, open water swimmers, or swimmers with disabilities. If an athlete competes in more than one category (e.g., pool and open water), only one complete application is necessary.
Applicants must be active USA Swimming members in good standing with validated times in SWIMS achieved as a member of USA Swimming during the qualifying period of September 1, 2024-August 31, 2025. Applications must include the applicant’s 2024-25 complete academic year transcript. Report/grade cards are not accepted.
To alert athletes, families, and clubs of their individual SAA qualifications, the USA Swimming SWIMS database will continue to offer pop-up notifications when users log into their accounts. This feature allows members and their associated clubs to see who is eligible and needs to complete an application, how to complete applications, and applicable deadlines.
Pool Swimmers: Applicants must have swum an individual pool race time equal to or faster than the 2024 Winter Junior National qualifying time standard in any individual event during the SAA qualifying period.
Open Water Swimmers: Applicants must have swum an individual pool race time equal to or faster than the 2024 Winter Junior National qualifying time in the 800m, 1000y, 1500m, or 1650y freestyle during the SAA qualifying period. Additionally, applicants must have participated in the 2025 Open Water National Championships. If an applicant wishes to be recognized as an open water swimmer, the applicant must select that on the application.
Swimmers with Disabilities: Applicants must have swum an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2024-25 Para Scholastic All-America Standards in any individual event noted within their self-reported P1, P2, or P3 grouping during the SAA qualifying period. A cap of 56 athletes will be named, with two per event and gender.
For the 2023 to 2024 program, 1,790 athletes grades 9-12 met the SAA criteria, increasing the number by over 650 individuals compared to the previous year. The Southern Zone had the highest number of athletes honored, with 581. North Carolina Swimming had 139 athletes and SwimMAC Carolina placed 33 of those. Additionally, 12 athletes met the Para Scholastic All-America standards, and three open water swimmers were honored. The full 2023-24 list is available here.
