Athlete applications are open for the 2026 National Diversity Select Camp, scheduled for April 30 to May 3, 2026, at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (USOPTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo. Athletes can apply here through February 15.

USA Swimming created the National Diversity Select Camp to empower athletes from diverse backgrounds to participate in a unique developmental swimming experience. Up to 28 boys and 28 girls will participate in workouts and training sessions led by decorated leaders within the sport. To qualify, athletes ages 14 or 15 years old during the qualifying period must have achieved at least one National Diversity Select Camp time standard (13-14 AAAA qualifying time) in a USA Swimming-sanctioned or approved swim meet between January 1, 2025 and August 31, 2025. Only LCM times are considered. To view the full selection criteria, click here.

“This camp reflects USA Swimming’s commitment to expanding opportunity and developing the next generation of athletes in our sport as we build toward the LA28 Olympic Games,” said USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield. “By bringing this group together in an exceptional training environment, we are investing in both performance and personal growth, while reinforcing that excellence in our sport is built through opportunity, education, and community.”

The camp includes lodging, meals, airfare, and ground transportation for all attendees. National Diversity Select Camp alumni include current National Team members Torri Huske, Gabriel Jett, Simone Manuel, and Kamal Muhammad.
