USA Swimming, the national governing body for swimming in the United States, and its philanthropic arm – the USA Swimming Foundation, have announced the 2025 Community Impact Grant applications are open through December 15, 2024.
The USA Swimming Foundation introduced the Community Impact Grant program in 2020 with the goal of providing access to competitive swimming for underrepresented swimming communities, supporting diverse coaches, and uplifting municipal community swim club programs within USA Swimming clubs. In this program, USA Swimming member clubs receive $5,000 grants, eligible for renewal annually for up to three years. To date, there have been 32 programs which have received $390,000 in funds.
“We are committed to connecting, collaborating, and broadening community access to USA Swimming in partnership with our clubs,” USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield said. “Community Impact Grants deliver financial support from the USA Swimming Foundation to clubs to teach water safety, build community-based programs, and give more families a chance to participate in competitive swimming in underserved communities across the country.”
Community Impact Grants focus on three areas of support:
