Four Additional Coaching Network Webinars and New High Performance Category Added to USA Swimming University

Four additional webinars have been added to USA Swimming University, bringing the total to 21 free webinar series members can utilize. Additionally, two new categories were added: 1. The High Performance Network, which focuses on high-performance information and development, and 2. The Club Business Network, which is geared towards the business side of youth sports. Take advantage of all recorded webinar courses by logging into USA Swimming University or registering for future live webinars here.
What are the Network Webinar Series?
All the webinar series draw on the experience of experts in their field, providing unique learning opportunities for coaches who work with specific age groups and categories. All speaker presentation webinars, Let’s Dive In series, and pop-up clinics are recorded live throughout the year. Registration for all available live webinars is available on the Coaches Community website.
What are the new courses and topics?
Here is a list of newly added webinars:
10 & Under Network:
- Games and Creative Sets: In this course, coaches share games and sets they have used when working with 10&U swimmers.
11-14 Network:
- Teaching the Crossover Turn: Sara Corcoran from Pikes Peak Athletics shares her technique on how to approach and teach the crossover turn to athletes.
High Performance Network:
- The Art of Warm-Up and Warm-Down: Dr. Curtis Goss and Dr. Kirk Grand discussed best practices for guiding athletes through building a plan and taking ownership of their warm-up and warm-down.
Club Business Network:
- Club Marketing and the Transition to Year-Round Competitive Swimming: Michael White shares how he bridges the gap between Learn-to-Swim and summer league swimmers into year-round competitive swimmers.
